Thy guys at Nokia Beta Labs have updated the Nokia Drop to version 1.1.1. It’s now compatible with Firefox 5 and earlier versions of Firefox since v3.
As the previous version of Nokia Drop Firefox plugin just stopped working after updating Firefox to version 5. The plugin was said to be incompatible. If you have had the case then just go ahead and update the Nokia Drop on your phone and as well the plugins for Firefox and Chrome. There also other features added as well as fixed some issues. If you are not familiar with Nokia Drop, then simple words it’s a cool utility to quickly transfer links, images, and map views from your PC to your Nokia device
Nokia Drop is a simple and easy way to push content to your device. With it you can:
- Change your phone’s wallpaper
- Send image to your phone (Note: images are send as a link and will be downloaded to mobile via Nokia Drop application)
- Send URL to your favourite phone browser (ie. Nokia Browser or Opera Mobile)
- Send map view or send selected location from maps.ovi.com
- Send feeds to Nokia Reader or to native browser web feed
Nokia Drop uses Push Notifications, so no cable or Bluetooth connection is needed.
