Recycle Campaign Winners Announced by Nokia Pakistan

Nokia Pakistan has announced the Nine Lucky Winners of Nokia Recycling Campaign who win the brand new Nokia N8.

The recycling campaign held by Nokia Pakistan is a major step to help many kind of environmental issues around the globe. The campaign was started a few months ago and a large number of participants dropped off their (old but faulty) mobile phones as well as accessories at Nokia Recycling Points across Pakistan. It was a chance for people, who participate in the program, to win Nokia N8s in a lucky draw which was held just recently.

The campaign was a joint program of Ufone, Unilever, Radio FM 91, ARY Musik, Orient Advertising and United Media. In this campaign the Nokia handset owners were needed to bring their old and in faulty mobile phones as well as accessories to Nokia Care Centres and Ufone Care Centres to drop in a recycling box. In exchange the customers were given some goodies with a box.

We believe Nokia did really well in starting this recycling campaign and it was really pleasing to know that people participated in the program and helped keeping the country free of global warming. Well that’s not enough though, there should be more alike campaigns to help making the beloved country green.

Karachi – 21st September, 2011: Nokia Pakistan handed over Nokia N8 phones to nine lucky winners at a prize distribution ceremony held recently. A large number of participants dropped off their mobile phones and accessories at Nokia Recycling Points across Pakistan as part of a mobile phone recycling drive spearheaded by Nokia Pakistan. Those participants who dropped off their mobile phone got a chance to take part in the lucky draw to win Nokia N8.

In a joint collaboration between Ufone, Unilever, Radio FM 91, ARY Musik, Orient Advertising and United Media, Nokia Mobile Phone Recycling Campaign was rolled-out in Pakistan in April 2011. Making mobile phone recycling easy and rewarding at the same time, Nokia Recycling bins were made easily accessible at all Nokia Care Centres and Ufone Sales & Service Centres throughout Pakistan.

Talking about the Nokia Recycling lucky draw, Reza Burney, Care Manager, Nokia Pakistan said, “My heartiest felicitations to the lucky draw winners. We are grateful to all those people who participated enthusiastically in Nokia Recycling Campaign and made a positive contribution to the environment. We received more than expected response from people all over Pakistan and we will continue to lead the environmental contribution to Pakistan as we do across the globe”.

The campaign has concluded but consumers using any mobile phone brand can continue to drop off their no longer needed mobile phones, accessories, batteries and chargers of any brand in recycling bins permanently available at any of the 14 Nokia Care Centres across Pakistan.
