We have recently seen on different blogs getting updates from their readers about new software update rolling out with title “Symbian Anna Service Pack”. But the confusion was that if it was only being pushed to the devices already updated to v25 recently released for Symbian Anna.
But here as I have also got the Service Pack update and informing that this update is independent of the core version of Symbian Anna and not related only to the v25. I am having version 24 of Symbian Anna and have got this Service Pack update.
Update Information
This important update package is around 1MB in size and brings following
- Better Performance and Usability
- Scroll through messages improvement
- Geo-Tagging improved performance (when taking photos)
- some more unlisted.
The Service Pack update is a global update and should reach all of the devices running Symbian Anna including N8, E7, C7, X7, C6-01 and E6. You can check either of the following sources if the update is available for your device.
- Over the Air (OTA)
- Nokia Software Updater (NSU)
- Nokia Suite (NS)
