Swype is preparing a beta release of its popular on-screen virtual keyboard to support Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which will probably be out to the end users having their Android devices running Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of this month. The words were shouted via the official Twitter account of Swype “Good news! Official ICS support is near.” The Swype representative at their Twitter account added the possible release date of beta version of Swype keyboard “Final tweaks and testing should be done in time for an anticipated end-of-month beta update.”

This popular Swype keyboard specially designed to run on touchscreen devices to allow users to enter words by swiping/sliding a finger or stylus from letter to letter. It’s fully packaged keyboard that handles errors in spelling and fixes them or provides the possible correct words to select from.

The hacked version of Swype has already been there to work on Ice Cream Sandwich. But if you stayed away from it and are waiting for the official release then it’s near within the “days”
