Nokia App Summit 2012: Karachi Pakistan – Conference, Workshop & Exhibition [Agenda Included]

Nokia has selected Pakistan to held first-ever Nokia App Summit 2012. That’s a good go for Pakistani mobile app developers. In collaboration with with P@SHA, djuice, CIO Pakistan, The Express Tribune, Apna Karachi FM-107 and Brandsynario.com, the event will be held on July 16th and 17th, 2012 at Karachi Marriott Hotel. The event will be featuring a unique mix of individuals from the local mobile and app developer communities, corporate sector and social development sector of Pakistan.

The Summit features

  • A conference where speakers from Pakistan and abroad will discuss new dimensions of mobile technology and its potential growth prospects in Pakistan. — find the conference agenda after the break —
  • A developer’s workshop where developers from the local app development community and students from leading IT Universities of Pakistan will be given hands-on training by Tony Torp, Nokia’s External Trainer for the development of exciting content for the new range of S40 Full Touch devices. — find the workshop agenda after the break —
  • An app exhibition where the exhibition is being organised to give visitors an experience of a wide variety of locally relevant apps and content available on Nokia Store.

These are really appreciable initiatives Nokia Pakistan has been, and is taking for local mobile app developers in Pakistan. Mobile app developer must attend the summit. Nokia Pakistan has remained committed towards the developers’ community of Pakistan to fulfill the needs of the Consumers for Apps and build a sustainable Ecosystem. Following the popularity of the local content on Nokia Store, we have engaged app developers from Pakistan through the Nokia Developers Workshop and the Nokia AppCampus Internship Program since the past two years.

Taking the commitment further, Nokia Pakistan is now organizing the Nokia App Summit 2012, an event which is aimed at resonating goodwill and strengthening the bond between Nokia and its developers in the local industry. The 2-day event will feature a conference, workshop and an exhibition which will be attended by local stalwarts from the technological, educational and corporate arenas. To engage the customers and developers alike, the conference shall feature panel discussions, an app development workshop by a foreign trainer along with The App Demo and Exhibition at the Nokia App Summit 2012 is being organized to give visitors an experience of locally developed apps and to meet the developers who are behind the local apps which are available on Nokia Store.
