The most popular platform for the classified ads around the world, OLX with its Pakistan’s dedicated website olx.com.pk for free local advertisement is supposed to have acquired its biggest competitor asani.com.pk in the Pakistani market.
If you are not familiar, which is very unlikely, with OLX and Asani.com.pk, they are the online websites for selling and buying used items. Where OLX is the global name in its category with many ccTLDs (country code top-level domains) in their relevant countries – such as olx.com.pk in Pakistan and olx.co.in in India, Asani.com.pk has just brought up its existence locally in Pakistan and has received warm welcome after their heavy online campaigns as well as presence on TV and media.
According to facts it’s most probably the reason OLX could have decided to take over the local Asani.com.pk. However there are no official words from either of the parties with a bare statement appearing on the Asani.com.pk website as they are soon to move to OLX.com.pk.
