WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app, has recently added the most anticipated calling feature in their Android version. The feature allows the users to make and receive calls from within WhatsApp via internet. While the voice calling feature is yet to be available over iOS platform, a version for Windows Phone platform is reportedly coming sooner or later.

This is a factor to tell, that unlike other major apps or services available on Android and iOS, WhatsApp messaging app has been available over all the major platforms including Symbian, Series 40, BlackBerry as well as on Android, iOS or Windows Phone.

Following that, recently introduced voice calling feature is only available on the Android platform while the iOS users have already waiting, the company confirmed to an inquiry that the feature is in works for Windows Phone platform. Looking at the records of the company, as they always have kept their features in sync over all the platforms where possible, the wait should not be long for other platform users.

Keep in mind that unlike the official announcement for the voice calling feature on iOS, the Windows Phone one is just a tip form some source to wmpu guys as the report suggest it’s an email response from the company to some user.

We do hope, the feature will come to Windows Phone sooner or later but we don’t believe if the voice calling feature will be coming to any other platform including Symbian, Series 40 or BlackBerry.
