LG has announced two K-series smartphones, both with 5 inch screens – the K5 and K8. “The K8 and K5 will be fantastic choices for anyone who is seeking a smartphone with great looks, great looks, at a great price,” says Juno Cho, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile.
LG already have launched three smartphones in K-series – the K10, K7 and K4 earlier this year. With the recent announcement the two new members of the K-series, K8 and K5 will be launched in select markets this week. The LG K8 will be available in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, CIS and Latin America where as the LG K5 will target customers in Europe, CIS and Latin America (it will be named as Q6 in Mexico).
Prices of the two smartphones have not yet been revealed officially but with the lower range device features and as being the budget devices, they are the low-priced phones.
LG K5 – Features
LG K5 sports a 5-inch display with the FWVGA resolution of 480 x 854px packed in metallic body. Available in Gold, Silver and Titan colors, the K5 is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop the K5 connects on up to 3G networks and features a 5 megapixel main camera and a 2MP selfie camera.

LG K8 – Features
LG K8 also features a 5-inch display but with higher HD resolution 720p and a 2.5D arc glass while the back cover is woven textured offering access to volume and power button. Available in Gold, Indigo, White, the K8 is also powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It will offer 1.5GB of RAM (in Europe and North America) or 1GB of RAM (in Latin America) along with the 8GB of RAM.
LG K8 also runs the newer Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with better camera with 8 megapixels module on back and 5 megapixel on the front. It supports 4G/LTE networks on connectivity.
