Huawei P9 to sport Leica Camera for superior smartphone photography

It’s only over a month when the Chinese manufacturer, Huawei and the German camera makers Leica announced their partnership to bring improved and better photography to smartphones. While it was not clear how long will it take for them to bring a final product in collaboration but recent reports suggest the upcoming Huawei P9 flagship will feature what the partnership between two companies made up.

In a recent announcement, the deputy chairman at Huawei, Guo Ping disclosed that the upcoming Huawei P9 will soon be launched in collaboration with Leica. He said that at the company’s press conference in Shenzhen.

“We are going to launch our flagship P9 phone very soon and this is a product that we worked with Leica to produce,” – Huawei deputy chairmen Guo Ping.

To increase the rate of feelings, an April 1 event was also appeared on twitter with a dual camera setup on the back with LEICA  branding. Though it was from a reliable source @stagueve

On the full camera module, the lettering  appears to be “Summarit H xxxxxxxxx ASPH”. However Summarit is a trademark brand for a range of Leica lenses where “Summarit H” on the module seems to be specifically designed for Huawei smartphones. It’s not quite a proof to be true as anyone with close knowledge to a company would know what they print on their products. ASPH, on the other hand represents aspherical lens.

With all that, I recommend to take the above pictures as pinch of salt. However the product P9 is already announced to be a collaboration of two companies so wish for a good results.

Following various rumors about Huawei P9 launch, the Chinese manufacturer officially announced about a launch event set for April 6th, to take place in London which is being considered to be for the most anticipated Huawei P9 smartphone.

The above paper doesn’t reveal the actual product being launched but it indeed reveals the dual camera configuration with #OO along with a note much related to photography “Change the way, you see the world”

It’s not too far to see what the Chinese manufacturer has to bring this year to amaze. But let me tell you that all these leaks, rumors and speculations – as increase the expectations and curiosity of the consumers, the smartphone maker now *has* to have something equal to expectations of the consumers or even more than that to launch in near dates.
