General Mobile 4G – A Rich Android One to launch in Pakistan

Following various Android One devices, Turkey’s General Mobile 4G which was launched a year ago, is soon to be available in Pakistan with modified or upgraded features.

General Mobile 4G was one of the first affordable smartphones to run Android 6 Marshmallow. The phone is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor and supports connectivity up to 4G/LTE with internet speed up to 150 Mbps.

The upcoming Android One in Pakistan, General Mobile 4G features a 5-inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixel resolution which is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The display is said to be as brighter as 400 nits minimum. The smartphone weighs only 135 grams and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 chipset containing a quad-core 1.2Ghz 64-bit CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores that supports Quick Charge 2.

The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and has 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage which is also expandable via micro SD card. 13 megapixel auto-focus camera is on the back with dual-LED flash while on the the front there is a 5 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Battery support has 2500mAh capacity.

Connectivity include Bluetooth 4.0 – A2DP (multiple connection), GPS/A-GPS, WLAN (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi HotSpot and WiFİ Direct.

General Mobile 4G might be available in two colours including black and white and is expected to launch on June 20th for Pakistani consumers with carrying a price tag below PKR. ~20,000/- The price is just an estimation as there is no clue about the official price. Official price is Rs. 13,499/-.
