Apple’s iPhone 7 & 7 Plus Official Now – Everything You Want To Know

It’s Dual Camera iPhone with IP67 Dust and Water Resistance

Following a long lasted hype, Apple has finally announced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Like previous generation, the differences between the two siblings are the physical size and the camera.

Standard iPhone 7 is packed with the 4.7″ Retina display serving with the resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5″ large display that comes with FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This year’s iPhone’s display is 25% brighter than iPhone 6s and also support 3D touch.

The new iPhone is powered by Apple’s new 64-bit A10 Fusion quad-core chip which, according to Apple, is 40% faster than the previous A9 chip. Additionally the graphics performance is 50% faster than previous chip. Not only in iPhone but Apple claims it’s the most powerful chip ever in any smartphone.

The home button has been improved which now works with new Taptic engine and provides customizable haptic/tactile feedback for notifications and/or other events. Apple has also added stereo speakers in iPhone 7 which provide louder volume with a higher dynamic range. As been speculating, Apple has vanished the 3.5mm audio jack and in place new EarPods come with Lightning connector but a Lightning-to-3.5mm audio adapter is included for backward compatibility.

iPhone 7 maintains the same 12MP camera with its predecessor. However the new model comes with several new features which were not present previously in iPhone 6s. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS); sensor readout is about 60% faster; six-element lens is wider with the aperture f/1.8 and the true-tone flash has 4 LEDs for more powerful luminance.

The camera in iPhone 7 Plus is bundled with all the features iPhone 7’s camera has to deliver but adds another camera module. It is the long-rumored iPhone with dual-camera. But unlike the Huawei P9’s color & monochrome cameras, Apple goes with a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens on two similar camera units. The standard 12MP camera on iPhone 7 has the 28mm equivalent lens and besides it, on iPhone 7 Plus, there’s another 12MP camera with the 56mm equivalent telephoto lens.

Apple’s dual-camera configuration mainly focuses on 2x lossless optical zoom that is when you aim to take full wide picture, the standard camera will capture it and when you zoom in, the second camera will get into action with its telephoto lens. However the zoom can further be applied at 10x which will be the traditional digital zoom but should be much better than other smartphone cameras as the digital zoom will be applied on the 2x optically magnified image.

On the front, Apple upgrades the the Face Time camera from five megapixel to 7 megapixel unit with

Well, the Apple also takes IP67 certification for its new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus as they both are dust and water resistant. According to power, iPhone 7 lasts 2 hours more than last year’s iPhone 6s while iPhone 7 Plus will last 1 hour more than iPhone 6s Plus.
