Nokia D1C could run Android 7.0 Nougat, Geekbench Score Suggests

If you have been waiting for a Nokia branded smartphone that runs Android OS, then you will be little more excited that Nokia’s come back in 2016 has once again hinted to have Nokia D1C as one of their first smartphone running latest Android OS – Nougat.

In a recent appearance over at Geekbench, a Nokia smartphone with carrying a model number D1C has appeared.

Not much about the smartphone is known yet, however the information from Geekbench reveals much of the specifications of Nokia D1C that runs on the new mid-range Snapdragon 430 SoC with Octa-core processor – each clocked at 1.4GHz.

In addition, the board carries an Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM while the phone runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The smartphone was tested on Geekbench five times and the average scores are 682 for single-core and 3229  for the multi-core tests.

Looking at the chipset, the phone sure seems to be a lower mid-range device which must target the mass markets in yet-unknown regions. This is the year 2016 until when Nokia was not allowed to make or market smartphones when everything was taken over by Microsoft back in 2014.
