Nokia confirms its plans to release smartphones in 2017

Nokia Plans to Unveil Probably Android Smartphones Next Year

Following a plenty of leads about Nokia’s plans getting back to phone business, a most recent report suggests about the confirmation from the Finish phone maker of releasing new smartphones in 2017.

It’s not so surprising to have it confirmed as it was bound that way everyone knew that. But having known that Nokia CEO, Rajeev Suri is all set to deliver keynote at next year’s Mobile World Congress in February 2017, you might have a clue when they could announce their first phone after a comeback.

One thing, if you are so looking towards something which you have from Nokia previously; you should have it cleared that unlike before, Nokia will not be producing or manufacturing their upcoming smartphones.

Nokia will only be branding the devices and supervise the production while actually the devices will be manufactured by HMD, an entity created earlier this year. HMD will be using Foxconn’s research and development and manufacturing skills but will be using Nokia’s brand name and their patents.

There have been too many back and forth dates when Nokia could release their first smartphone after getting back to phone business. Some referred a phone or two to be revealed before the 2016 ends while some reports suggested the second quarter of 2017 could be the time somewhere when we’ll see a Nokia smartphone. It’s not too far to wait what Nokia has for us, we’ll see it.
