Nokia Flagship Camera Smartphones Rumored to Launch in 2017

After having acquired license to use Nokia branding for next 10 years, HMD Global has already been up with marketing its presence in the industry of smartphones and devices. According to recent reports, it’s being suggested that you might see two Nokia branded flagship devices at MWC next year focused on camera modules.

Rumored as “Nokia C1”, the smartphone is claimed to have dual-camera configuration with 16MP and 12MP image sensors. Along side the phone might feature a tripple-LED flash, a laser autofocus and most importantly – the xenon flash which we have seen on many Nokia camera phones previously.

In addition to the camera, the rumored Nokia-branded smartphone is supposed to be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset and may feature 4GB of RAM with a 3210mAh battery. The phone might be available in various storage options as 32GB, 64GB, and/or 128GB.

Even a huge feed is to believe that another Nokia-branded smartphone will be there at MWC that will feature a 23MP camera with Zeiss lens – the long lasting Nokia-partner for mobile optics. This phone will be fully metal built and also will be powered by Snapdragon 835 but will have extended memory as 6GB of RAM.

While we know Nokia has done much better with mobile cameras in the past – most late examples are Nokia 808 PureView and Lumia 1020 which we still believe are two of the best smartphone cameras made. That might also be a reason as someone would want you to believe that above stuff because, if not everyone, every Nokia loyal fan would want to hear about upcoming Nokia branded smartphone, specially when they are going to run Android operating system.

On the other hand if talking technically, we have seen only a bunch of phones which featured xenon flash with their camera units and most of them were built by Nokia only. But we are talking about today’s slimmer smartphones here which we haven’t seen with a xenon flash till now. Even the PureView smartphones from Nokia with xenon flash weren’t quite slim as people want them now. However keep in mind that in 2013, Xenon Technologies have already made a splash with the xenon flash to fit in slimmer mobile devices.

So we advise you to take it with a pinch of salt and just don’t believe this to be true at any aspect.
