Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 to be presented officially next week at CES 2017

Qualcomm has officially announced via its Twitter handle that the chip maker is getting ready to launch the flagship Snapdragon 835 SoC during the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show 2017 which is already set to start next week.

Although the CES is going to run from January 5th through January 8th next week, Qualcomm will announce its highly anticipated flagship chipset – Snapdragon 835, during the pre-show announcements on Jan 3rd.

According to previous reports, the Snapdragon 835 will have eight cores clocked at maximum 2.2GHz with the new Adreno 540 GPU. If go by the official words, the processor is going to give 30% more performance at graphics than the predecessor and 40% less power consumption.

According to Qualcomm, its upcoming central processing unit will be equipped with Quick Charge 4 technology that allows the devices to charge from 0 to 50% in just 15 minutes while a 5 minute charge will give you a 5 hours of the battery life.

While previously Qualcomm has announced its collaboration with Samsung about building the said chipset on the Korean manufacturer’s 10nm process, the chip maker is now going to present the system on chip during the CES next week as the company has already started teasing on their twitter account.
