Everything you want to know about Lenovo’s new Laptop range

Lenovo announced a range of new devices built for Windows 10 at Consumer Electronic Show 2017. These devices take advantage of great Windows 10 features, including Windows Hello with built-in face recognition cameras and fingerprint readers, and touch screens that light up Windows Ink.

With the announcement, Lenovo has presented the new ThinkPad X1 family with update to the flagship ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad X1 Yoga, and ThinkPad X1 Tablet – all of them lie in the business lineup. Additionally, Lenovo has also introduced a new sub-brand for gaming PCs – called Lenovo Legion.

Lenovo discloses that the improvements they have made into its new lineup of machines are a direct are a direct result of constant analysis of customer feedback and user testing.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon – 2017

The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon is the fifth-generation of the laptop series that is similar in looks to its previous generation but it’s rather smaller in size. The new X1 Carbon weighs less than 2.5 pounds (1.14kg). The laptop fits with a full HD, 14-inch IPS display into a 13-inch body.

A wide array of ports, infrared camera, connectivity and security is packed within the new X1 Carbon that is supposed to deliver maximum performance. “The six-row ThinkPad keyboard with an improved Microsoft Precision Touchpad (with physical buttons!) and iconic TrackPoint complete the picture.”

ThinkPad X1 Carbon will be available from February 2017, starting at $1,349. Available colors are in black and a new silver color.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga – 2017

The new X1 Yoga is the same convertible notebook that comes with Windows 10 and its multi-mode experience. Touch display is also suitable with Windows Ink – pen. Shares almost everything as with the X1 Carbon from inside. Complete set of ports including Thunderbolt 3.

Like the new X1 Carbon, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga is also light weight and ultra-portable as “Flying from New York to Tokyo or Dubai to Sydney is not a problem with up to 15 hours of battery life for the true mobile warrior.”

Key features include 14-inch OLED display, Intel Iris Graphics (in addition to integrated Intel HD Graphics,) new ThinkPad Pen Pro. Also available in black and silver, the X1 Yoga will be available from February 2017, starting at $1,499.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet – 2017

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet combines 2-in-1 design with enterprise features. The X1 Tablet supports modules that offer port expansion which can be used either for extended battery, or an integrated projection option for a desk-to-projection experience.

The X1 Tablet comes with all those Windows PC features, available in Carbon and Yoga. Windows 10 Pro or Home versions will be options to choose from. The 12 inch IPS display is 2150×1440 in resolution. Powered by the same Intel Core 7th-gen processor and 16GB RAM.

The tablet features both the rear and fron camera with 8MP and 2MP sensors respectively. ThinkPad X1 Tablet will be available from March 2017, starting at $949.
