Huawei Honor 6X with dual-camera and Huawei Nova Plus will be receiving Android 7 beta in Pakistan. Former is a mid-range device but the latter is the upper mid-ranger, however both the devices run Android 6 with old EMUI 4.1.

Android 7 Nougat is all set to roll out next month on Huawei Honor 6X. Whereas Nova Plus will receive the Nougat software update along with several other Huawei devices. Today Huawei Pakistan just revealed that the beta version of Android 7 is rolling out to the two devices.

Huawei Pakistan announced the pleasing news via their twitter handle. The company will ship the update will to the consumers after when they signup for the Huawei Friendly User Trial (FUT) campaign. The users with Nova Plus and Honor 6X will be able to try beta version of Android 7 Nougat. The update will contain most praised Huawei flavour of EMUI 5.0 before it launches publicly.

In addition to Pakistan, other middle east countries are also included in the beta roll-out phase. Owners from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Iran can also signup to receive beta software.

Huawei Honor 8

Interestingly Honor 8, treated mostly as a premium smartphone, seems to be the most favorite device of Chinese smartphone that they are facilitating it with fast track updates including Android 7 beta in various regions. Honor 8 users in Pakistan still haven’t seen any green flag for the beta update. However, the gorgeous looking smartphone will also see a global public roll-out of Nougat software with EMUI 5 sooner.

How to upgrade your Nova Plus or Honor 6X?

While both the devices will receive Android 7 Nougat software sometime in March or later, the keen users may go through the following steps to signup for beta. You will be talking to a robot wizard on facebook messenger while submitting information instead of a traditional web form.

  • Click or Tap “Get Started” button to start the process.
  • Select a “Language”
  • Choose “Join Test Program”

Further process will require you to enter your email address, your country where you bought the phone, your phone’s build number, device selection, and IMEI of your device. After the process you can leave the chat.

Once the update is ready for your specific phone, you will receive it over the air.
