Vivo smartphones launching in Pakistan on July 5th, 2017

As reported earlier, Vivo is going to launch a range of its smartphones in Pakistan on 5th of July that’s early next month, sources confirmed.

The Chinese multinational brand specializing in mobile internet products and services – Vivo, is currently the 3rd most popular brand in China. The brand is ranked 5th in global smartphone sales with 80 million sales recorded in 2016.

According to sources, the company will launch at least four devices initially in Pakistan. Costing from PKR. 15,000 to PKR 30,000, the devices will be launched on the said date while a mega launch event is expected to follow in coming months.

There is no confirmation obtained about which smartphone models will be released in the country, However one of them those devices will be Vivo V5s which boasts a 20 megapixels front-facing camera for extra large selfies.

Vivo is focusing on design, camera experience, hi-fi sound and customized OS – namely “Funtouch OS”. Working in more than 10 overseas markets, having production bases in India and Indonesia, the company started designing and manufacturing smartphones back in 2011. Before that it has specialized in feature phones and telephones.

The smartphone maker has set its footprints in India and also has partnered with IPL (until 2022). The company has also contracts with NBA and FIFA World Cup 2018. In Pakistan, the company has similar partnership plans with PSL and other franchises.

It’s confirmed that the company has already established its own distribution network in Pakistan to start sales in all major cities and towns nationwide.
