Nokia N9 has not yet been launched in Pakistan but is due in a week or two. However we have got our hands on Nokia N9. Thanks to Nokia Connects for sending us a review unit. And so thanks to Nokia Pakistan to let Nokia Connects issuing devices to Pakistan for reviewing purposes. We’ll sure use the time with it in a productive way so that we could extract as much from this and only MeeGo flagship by Nokia. And of course we’ll do it the same way as we have always done. Nokia N9 has got into our hands and we are ready to review it at its full. Nokia N9 is the only and device from Nokia with MeeGo and the last one as well, based on Linux, MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan. 1GHz Single CPU, ARM Cortex-A8 with dedicated 3D accelerator. 1GB RAM with 512MB ROM and 64GB Mass Storage.
The Nokia 603 is a compact design with a 3.5″ ClearBlack LCD with IPS technology and the capacitive touch screen features nHD resolution (360 x 640 pixels) with 16.7 million colours and 160° viewing angle. The 1000 nits brightness is just same as of Nokia 701. The smartphone offers quad-band 2G and tri-band 3G with 14 Mbps HSDPA and 5.7 Mbps HSUPA.
Nokia, at an event in Turkey, has launched two of its new products Nokia Luna and Nokia 603.
Nokia Luna is the Bluetooth headset in fancy but pretty outfit which additionally has been enabled with NFC. Nokia 603 on the other hand is new Symbian Belle smartphone which is supposed to be an affordable one.
It’s been quite a few months now that Nokia re-branding has been started. Ovi Maps turned Nokia Maps and then Ovi Store changed to Nokia Store with other changes. Now it’s the turn of Ovi Suite to be lost and Nokia Suite to take its place.
Nokia Beta Labs recently released a new version 3.2 of the suite with the name Nokia Suite this time. Please note that previously Ovi Suite had been moved to the Nokia Store after getting out of the beta releases.
P@SHA ICT Awards were recently held in Karachi in collaboration with Nokia where the participants of MakeMyApp competition awarded the prizes. Winners in each of the categories (Entertainment/ Fun & Games, Business Productivity, Easier Living and Think Gree) received the prize money of PKR 400,000/- in cash. In addition a special winner was awarded a Nokia E7 along with PKR 100,000/- for a truly innovative app – as said.

Nokia Conversations has just announced the winner of Nokia Tune Remake contest. An Italian DJ is about to become a global hit after winning the Nokia Tune competition. ”Nokia Tune Dubstep Edition”, Valerio Alessandro Sizzi’s 24-second version of the iconic Nokia ringtone, will be preloaded on more than 100 million handsets to be shipped all over the world.
The camera in X7 is just similar to the ones in Nokia C7 and E7 but a bit different in Nokia E6 as per the specifications. Before using the camera in X7 I suggested the one in E6 must be better amongst the Symbian^3 range (not including N8) as the specification wise the E6 was having a bit larger aperture and in fact did produce some better results when shot indoor than C7 and E7. But results from X7 aren’t that bad, in fact they are pretty much better than the ones from C7 or E7 and even E6.
