Viber updated for Windows Desktop and Windows Phone 8 – brings phone-switching, stickers and emoticons
Viber, a messaging and voice calling app for smartphones and desktop, just got updated for Windows Phone 8. New version 2.3 brings features including the stickers and emoticons to Windows Phone 8. Another update was on the Desktop version of Viber which brings integration between Windows Phone 8 and desktop versions.
Most awaited Viber version for Windows Phone 8 with the support of voice calling has hit the Windows Phone store. Live Tile support and lock screen notifications has been added.
An alternative – more or less – to Skype or other VOIP services providers, Viber has disclosed their future support for platforms like Nokia’s Series 40 OS for feature phones, Symbian and Samsung’s Bada OS. Viber VOIP application is currently available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone and RIM’s BlackBerry.
