Vlingo the Voice-to-Text app for Nokia N8

Vlingo is the voice to text app which is really cool and useful when you are on the go. I just headed over to grab it from Ovi Store when I first read about it.

You would also want to use it if you are good with these simple but very useful utilities. I personally felt that it’s a lot accurate in many environments around you. e.g. I was right in my TV lounge watching cricket match with my family, and of course there was enough voice and noise around in the lounge that might have disturbed me talking to this app. But I was amazed to see that it picked my words very sensibly. I tried also speaking in low voice which was good enough for it to understand.

The app is very well designed with regard to usability. It gives tips to use right on the screen when you want to say some thing. It tells you what to say and how to say. An in-app message editor is given with the “Tap & Speak” button to help you write and send messages quickly.

Vlingo in Nokia N8 currently offers you to speak in English, Deutsch, and Italiano as for now.

Would be even more appreciable if it will offer more languages in future. I would really love it when it will offer Urdu language for me and many of us here in Pakistan. Roman Urdu will be nice though.

Last but not the least, It made it a place on my main Home Screen in my Nokia N8.
