Nokia launches new X7 and E6 with new Symbian Anna – PR2

So the April 12, one of the most hyped days with Nokia Customers, came out to be the launch of two new powerful devices. The new Nokia X7 and Nokia E6, the entertainment device and a business smartphone respectively.

The thing about Nokia X7 and Nokia E6 is the new common term/name used for the OS update “Symbian Anna” which is actually a PR2 firmware update waited most for new Symbian^3 devices. Symbian Anna aka PR2 is a new Symbian firmware update containing a bundle of rich graphical icons with new features e.g. improved and completely new web browser.

Announcement by Nokia today, said that the Symbian Anna aka the PR2 will be made available for existing Symbian^3 devices in coming months. The devices are very well known in the market, the Nokia N8, E7, C7 and C6-01.

New Nokia X7 – extreme entertainment

The Nokia X7 will be available in Q2 2011 and, before taxes and operator subsidies, it will cost €380.

New Nokia E6 – business in hand

The Nokia E6 is expected to ship in Q2 2011 – before taxes and subsidies it will cost €340. North American availability is expected in Q3.
