  • That means the Anna upgrade is not officially available for you via Ovi Suite or Nokia Software Updater as well?

      • Yes! Just use these files as explained in the tutorial. keep everything else followed as described.

        • u dont need phoenix just downgrade n8 and copy the belle file into phone and run it which will take about and hour simple no problem

  • "Dead phone USB flashing" option is enabled when you select "No Connection" in connections

    Make sure you selected "No Connection" in step-5

    • hi thanks.........i got that shorted out and flashed with belle......
      but then i did restore from back up......
      and now not bale to connect in ovi suite mode.....and also not able to connect to wi-fi and 3G internet......

      now how do i re-flash as it is not connecting in ovi suite mode..???

      • dont reflash go to menu settings internet options and enable the wifi and 3g :)

• cant access ovi maps or ovi store or ovi music...saying errror widget installing...not able to install anything on mass memory...all the mass memory deleted after hard reset....so what to do nw to accesss all those things....rest working fine...plzz help

• hi. i just need some help on my N8. i did what's in the video and read the instructions thoroughly before doing the steps but i had no luck. i can't figure out what happened. pheonix is saying that its waiting for communication response in the middle of the process and it starts counting from 25 secs down to 1 then pheonix tells me to disconnect and connect and click ok, i've done that but still it keeps on repeating the error (something like device communication failed). before i gone through all of the steps, i noticed that when i loaded the "product code", mine loaded SW: 022.014 and VARIANT: 017 while on your video your VARIANT was 015. does it have something to do with the error that i'm getting? im really sure that i downloaded pheonix and the symbian belle files on your link and strictly followed the steps. and one more question sir, does the error have something to do with symbian anna's latest updates through OVI? because 2 days before i did all of your steps, i updated my symbian ^3 to anna and i also got the 2 updates as well (anna 1/2 and 2/2). thanks very much and i really appreciate your symbian belle post.

• i tried it again... i think i had 8 tries now but its still the same... after i've done all the steps and clicked on refurbish, disconnected the phone and held the power button 10 secs (until it vibrates 3 times), connected the phone again, it started the process... and i always get this:
