Leaked: Nokia 803, illustrated with large camera mount, The N8 Successor?

Pocketnow has leaked an image illustrating a Nokia phone supposed to be a successor to the top class camera phone Nokia N8. The first important par of the illustration was the big camera mount or hump at the back of the phone which really can tell that it’s the camera focused device. Having that much space for the camera lens justifies that it may feature an optical zoom.

Pocketnow: We just got a user’s manual for a purported Symbian Belle-powered device claiming to be the Nokia 803; what we didn’t get were any features or specs to go along with the document. Our immediate reaction upon seeing the rather large camera hump was, of course, that we were looking at the rumored successor to the 12-megapixel Nokia N8 — one of the greatest cameraphones ever made.

“The manual doesn’t go into much detail about the 803’s functionality beyond the basics, although we were able to glean the somewhat-predictable inclusion of NFC capabilities, HDMI, and DLNA. It was also made clear that this is not a finalized document, meaning that any of the information or images are subject to change before publication.” adds Pocketnow. “If this is indeed the next imaging flagship, ‘Unwired View’ has told us to expect a 1GHz (apparently single-core) processor, 3.5-inch WVGA ClearBlack display with Gorilla Glass, and 512MB of RAM. The camera sensor is said to be even bigger than the N8’s, while the lens may feature an optical zoom. “

In my opinion the Successor to Nokia N8 must be in same or higher premium quality.

With my personal point of view, I won’t like the design of this device if it comes out to be 100% similar as above. Well the big camera hood is not the reason. In fact I’ll take it for a better photography with real optical features. But I don’t like the front, back and total rounded shape with hardware buttons for handling calls and menu at bottom like shown in the illustration. The current design of Nokia N8 is just premium comparatively.
