$100 Million gone past – It’s $200 Million Microsoft planning alone in US

Today morning BetaNews shouted with a big surprising information about a marketing campaign worth $100 Million from Microsoft along with its partners Nokia and AT&T for their upcoming Windows Phone smartphone Nokia Ace. Paul Thurrott from winsupersite has come up with a correction in the figure leaked this morning. And the correction is not just a little bit big but it’s the twice of the figure told earlier today.

According to Thurrot’s sources the marketing push will count up to $200 Million and not $100 Million which will not only be helped by Nokia for Nokia Ace but other hardware manufacturers or OEMs e.g. Samsung for their Windows Phone line-up. More of it is the same as we learnt earlier that all it will be campaigned in United States and on AT&T. However Nokia will be outspending  Microsoft 2-to-1.

Thurrot also added that the plan includes sales incentives of $10 to $15 per handset sold by retailers to recommend Windows Phone over an Android or iPhone. He closed to reveal anything more on it by leaving other things to be announced officially at CES by Microsoft.

Well it needs to be mentioned that Thurrot responsibly acted over the news and complained against the ways blogs use nowadays to spread false and incorrect information that actually lead him to correct and reveal a few things to set it right.
