CES: Sony Ericsson to unveil Xperia S and Xperia Ion

SEMC Blog recently revealed that Sony (formerly Sony Ericsson) is about to unveil two Android powered smartphones in Xperia line-up naming them Xperia S and Xperia Ion at CES 2012 (Consumer Electronics Show). SEMC Blog added that Xperia S is the LT26i codenamed “Nozomi” but it’s unclear of what model will be the Xperia Ion, if it’s already known as well.

Doubting the clarification about Xperia Ion, it’s worth noted that the screen size of Ion that is 4.6″ may refer to to the LT28. But there still are some other factors that deny it to be LT28. LT28 was rumored to have 5″ display screen size as well as the placement of brand name “Sony” on LT28 is upside the screen while Xperia is having the brand name below the screen. This is also not sure if the phones will have both the branding “Sony” and “Sony Ericsson” on them.

Adding more to the clues, XperiaBlog hinted that Xperia Ion could be LT29i “Hayabusa” which is supposed to look very like to the Xperia Arc but specifications will be similar to the Xperia S “Nozomi”.

There are also a few other gadgets are to be announced at CES 2012 such as watch and wireless headset.
