IM Chat client and Social client for Nokia updated with UI and Belle Widgets

Two of the Nokia services and apps, Chat Client “IM for Nokia” and “Social Networking Client” – earlier designed specially for Symbian^3 devices – now have been updated to work with Nokia Belle with additional features and Belle UI. In fact these new versions won’t support initial Symbian^3 or later Symbian Anna OS as these new versions come with new widgets specially for Nokia Belle home screens.

Social Networking Client:

New Social version 1.4.481 brings a few awaited improvements in usability and smoother scrolling along with new separate widgets for facebook and twitter.

  • Usability Improvements with smoother scrolling
  • Separate widgets for facebook and twitter
  • New User Interface.
No Location sharing or Retweet Edit feature added into Twitter client.

Chat App / IM for Nokia:

Chat App “IM for Nokia” has also been updated for Nokia Belle devices Nokia 603, 700 and 701.

The new version brings

  • New Splash screen
  • Separate Widgets for all chat services.
— More unknown yet —

Availability and Compatibility:

As for now Social Networking Client for Belle is available at Nokia Store for all Belle OS(Only) including the devices which are yet waiting to get Belle OS update e.g. Nokia N8, C7 etc. Nokia Store Web Portal now gives option to choose Belle OS while selecting any of Symbian^3 or Anna devices. Social Client will be available to download if you select Belle OS.

But “IM for Nokia” Chat App is only available for devices which came with Belle OS from factory

Both of the apps should work on Belle OS regardless of what the device is. Means that both apps should work on all Symbian^3 devices which are currently running Leaked Belle OS. These will not work on Symbian^3 or Symbian Anna OS. You can download both apps from following direct links if Nokia Store doesn’t show them for your device. Then you can manually transfer to your device and install them.
