New software update MeeGo PR1.2 has already started rolling to Nokia N9 since last week. But Nokia officially has announced that the update now has been pushed to 70 percent of the devices and is still rolling to reach all of the devices. Approximately 284 MB is the size of update which will be downloaded over the air and be installed.
Very first thing to tell about it is that the front-facing camera of Nokia N9 now opens its eye to the world. Even tough it was equipped but wasn’t used in any way in the device. Before this PR1.2 software update, there was no video calling or alike feature was available to use the front-facing camera letting the users expect the future updates to bring possibilities and uses of the sleeping front-facing camera. Now that PR1.2 has been rolled out, it has opened the ability to use front-facing camera in applications while an official video calling support has been added to Google Talk. You need to get the GTalk Video Call app from Nokia Store. Other major features include, Folder Support on application launcher home view, continuous shooting with zero shutter lag, Nokia Drive improvements and features.
