Nokia Asha 303 Review – The Smartness of Low-End

The Smartness of the Low-End
Nokia Asha 303 – The Review

At techprolonged.com, this is very first time we are reviewing a low-end phone and it’s only because we think not only the high-end smartphones are what should be explained in detail. Especially here in Pakistan there is a big market for low-end devices and we think the target market should also be aware of what they are going to buy. As always thanks to the guys at Nokia Pakistan who are always co-operative.

After thinking for a while, the above title was what could have made into my mind for Nokia Asha 303 as I’ve used it for a couple of week now – though not primarily but for fair amount of time. I can easily say that it’s really capable of standing with the competition in its class. However it is not a smartphone at all but much better for people who can’t afford a high-end smartphone but actually want to surf internet with all their online social networking.

Overview

I personally have never used a Nokia’s S40 phone only because it never came with multitasking without which I just can’t afford using my phone but if you are not a multitasker and have been using this series of Nokia handsets then it really should be on your top of the list. Although Nokia has added a lot very first time  in a S40 handset e.g. QWERTY + Touch & Type, capacitive touch screen and features like USB On-The-Go as well as a very solid build and not leaving it on outside but also has added 1 GHz processor inside. I am really not sure how would I be able to use that much of Gigahertz in this non-multitasking S40 handset but it is worth mentioning that Nokia has brought games like Angry Birds to the S40 platform with these devices.

  • Good review , though you didnt write about pricing. In India Nokia has done crazy pricing > Rs. 8000 when in UAE you can get this for just Rs. 6000-6500 which I feel is fair price.
I liked this phone , capacitive screen makes big difference.Apart from this I think you missed to mention that this 303 is first S40 phone from Nokia which supports VOIP over wifi and 3G as well. Also Mail For Exchange client is coming too.
Overall good device , but I feel 302 looks better.
