Google Nexus 6: Now Official – Specifications and Availability

Google has officially announced its next Nexus model, the Nexus 6. It’s a big one sizing 5.96″ on screen with QHD resolution and AMOLED display. 13 megapixels primary camera is facilitated with the optical image stabilizer and Dual LED flash. It supports 4K video recording.

Running on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, Nexus 6 will be powered by 2.7GHz Quad core CPU 2.7GHz on Snapdragon 805 chipset with the support of Adreno 420 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The new nexus phone will come in two variants of 32GB and 64GB.

Motorola’s new Nexus 6 will be served with a set of sensors including GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, ambient light sensor and barometer. Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC are also included. Nano SIM is the option for network connectivity.

The bigger Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order in late October and will hit stores in November. Unlocked version will be available from Play Store in select countries. The Nexus 6 will be the most expensive Nexus device till date with the cost of $649 for unlocked version.
