Microsoft Lumia 535 Announced – “Nokia” branding officially removed

Microsoft, today, has officially announced the Lumia 535 with 5 inch display, 5 megapixel front-facing camera and 5 megapixel rear camera. For these three 5’s they call it the 5x5x5 packaging of the smartphone. The most important factor of this phone is that there is no “Nokia” branding anywhere anymore.

Now that’s where “Nokia” branding on smartphones has officially been removed following its acquisition by Microsoft. As of yesterday Microsoft teased with a video hinting about the upcoming very first Lumia device branding with “Microsoft” instead of “Nokia”, they posted about it on Lumia Conversations with the hashtag #MoreLumia. Today on the conversations Microsoft has officially announced the very first of the Lumia family branding with “Microsoft”, the Microsoft Lumia 535.

Lumia 535 will come in two variants, the 3G Single SIM, or 3G Smart Dual SIM, both loaded with Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim software update right out of the box which include features like Action Center, Word Flow, Live Folders and Cortana.

The 5 MP wide-angle front-facing camera is just the same as came with the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735. Lumia 535 is said to provide best experience with Skype calls. The primary or rear 5-megapixel camera comes with the support of LED flash.

Lumia 535 features 5-inch IPS LCD display with qHD (960 x 540) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, and 1GB RAM. Mass memory of 8GB with support up to 128 GB via micro SD card. Additional 15 GB free OneDrive storage is also included. Finally it’s powered by a 1905 mAh battery.

Lumia 535 supports a flip cover to add an extra layer of protection or some additional style.

Lumia 535 will be available in Black, White, Gray, Orange, Green and Cyan colors.

Both the variants of Lumia 535, 3G Single SIM and 3G Dual SIM will be available in selected markets in November. Price of Lumia 535 and Lumia 535 Dual SIM is estimated to be around 110 EUR (~14,000/- Pakistani Rupees) before taxes and subsidies. The pricing may vary by the markets.
