Sony Xperia Z4 announced – it has an improved selfie camera

Sony has launched the flagship Xperia Z4 in Japan while no dates were announced for international launch.

Sony has announced the new Xperia Z4 in their home country first. The Japanese company previously launched the Xperia Z4 tablet at Mobile World Congress while the smartphone was not announced. However apparently, the Xperia Z4 does not seem to be have visual changes from its predecessor Z3.

The Xperia Z4 is 144 grams in weight, 6.9 mm thick and is made of metal and glass around the body. It’s exactly the same design as of its predecessor Xperia Z3. The latest flagship sports a 5.2 inch screen with FHD 1080p LCD display. The main camera still contains a 20.7 megapixel sensor of size 1/2.3″. The front/selfie 5.1 camera now is improved with and has digital image stabilization to reduce camera shake effects while taking selfies.

With a 2930mAh battery, the Xperia Z4 is packed with 2GHz Octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor along side the 3GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and of course it’s water and dust proof with the highest water and dust proof ratings of IPX5/IPX8 and IP6X, respectively.

The company has not disclosed anything about a release in other regions. Nor they announced about the price in Japan. However The Xperia Z4 will be out for sale in Japan this summer with options to choose from white, black, copper, and “aqua green” colors.
