Zong launches Pakistan’s first ever Internet-only SIM‏

Zong has launched Pakistan’s first Internet-only SIM which can be used on any device with data SIM slots in addition to smartphones as well.

The Internet-only SIM will cater to the needs of consumers who won’t want to use their smartphones to share internet over other devices while draining their phone’s battery and instead will be able to use the new dedicated Internet SIM in any compatible open market devices Wi-Fi dongles or Wingles (including Zong’s MiFi and Wingle).

Also note that the new Internet-only SIM will come with separate data packages which will not be available on regular SIM cards. In addition the Internet-only SIM will be disabled for voice calling and can only be used for internet in whatever device as you want – It could be in fact a dual SIM phone; that you will be able to use Zong’s Internet-only SIM with, in a data SIM slot along side the other regular SIM card for voice and text messaging.
