Teradata helps Telenor Pakistan expand integrated data warehouse

Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC), the big data analytics and marketing applications company, announced that Telenor Pakistan, a leading provider of high-quality telecommunication services, has expanded its Teradata Integrated Data Warehouse to accommodate rapid business growth as well as meet a rising demand for deeper detail in analytics-driven intelligence.

Telenor Pakistan’s expansion is an investment in Teradata that will provide immediate value, enabling the company to do deep analytics on their business in almost real-time, and with that maximize its return on investment.

At the conclusion of a 10-month long selection process which included six vendors, Teradata was determined to be the right choice for Telenor Pakistan, both in terms of the superiority of solution and services as well as the total cost of operations.

Irfan Wahab Khan, Deputy CEO and Chief Marketing Officer, Telenor Pakistan, said, “We consider analytics to be a strategic imperative for our continued success. As we chart our way towards being a ‘data driven’ organization and delivering on our ‘Internet for All’ ambition, its importance has only magnified. As we renew our partnership with this massive undertaking, I wish the teams all the success in making our vision come true and look forward to the continued success of our organizations.”

Khuram Rahat, managing director, Teradata Pakistan said, “I must congratulate Telenor Pakistan for running a rigorous process which again validated our thought leadership and more importantly the economic viability of running their best-in-class BI environment on Teradata. Our commitment to Telenor Pakistan has gained further impetus with this modernization project and we look forward to another decade of successes.”
