Microsoft’s new Lumia 650 is Windows 10 Powered and Built for Business

Following the Lumia 950, 950 XL and 550,  Microsoft has unveiled a new Windows 10 powered smartphone today – the Lumia 650.

Microsoft’s Lumia 650 appears to target businesses as Microsoft describes it as “the smart choice for your business” in a video – after the break, it also brings built-in apps including Office and OneDrive like before. Design follows the recent Lumia lineup and offers a 5-inch AMOLED display packed in aluminium frame. Lumia 650 is a low-range phone as the 6xx line has always been.

The new Lumia 650 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset with Quad-core 1.3GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. Internal storage is 16GB with option to expand via microSD card up to 200GB. The 5″ AMOLED display serves with 720p resolution and the pixel density of 297 PPI. The display comes with ClearBlack technology which should be considered excellent for this low-end device.

The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing wide-angle camera. It will allow you to use 2G/3G or 4G/LTE network connectivity while it’s backed up by a 2000 mAh battery which is rated to give 26 days of standby time and 16 hours of talk time over 4G network.

Lumia 650 measures at 142mm x 70.9mm x 6.9mm and weighs 122 grams. It will come in matte black and matte white, and will be available in select European markets beginning February 18th. The suggested retail price of Lumia 650 is $199 USD before local taxes and subsidies.

If you are are recalling the PC transformation feature with Continuum then forget about it. Lumia 650 ships with a chipset which can not just do that.
