Lenovo’s mobile subsidiary ZUK has unveiled the Z2 Pro smartphone with as huge memory as 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Looking at the name with “Pro”, it seems to be a second model to what we can assume Z2 which should have been the successor to the ZUK Z1.
The new ZUK Z2 packs with the latest Qualcomm high-end chipset Snapdragon 820 with 2.15GHz Quad-core processor along side a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is another variant that features a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. What’s incredible about it is that the higher higher variant costs only 2699 Yuans in China (which is approximately PKR 43,500/- or $415).
In another aspect, the newly announced ZUK Z2 Pro has a 5.2″ screen which is smaller than the current Z1 which has 5.5″ display. With Z2 you will have Super AMOLED display on top of the screen with Gorilla Glass 3 – that too with 2.5D curved edges around.
The ZUK Z2 offers 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, ISOCELL sensor with pixel size of 1.34μm microns with Hybrid PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and f/1.8 aperture lens. The front facing camera is 8MP with 1.4μm pixel size and f/2.0 lens aperture.
The ZUK Z2 also include an improved fingerprint scanner but also packs with heart-rate sensor, a UV sensor and an altimeter. The phone is backed up with 3100mAh battery too. Supporting total of 23 network types, the ZUK Z2 offers connectivity with 4G LTE with support of VoLTE. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.1, USB 3.1 / USB Type-C.
The ZUK Z2 Pro will be available in Titanium Black and Ceramic White colors. The 6GB+128GB variant will cost 2699 Yuans (or USD 415, or PKR 43,500/- approx.) and will be available from April 22nd through ZUK store in China. The cheaper model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant will be available from May 10th, price for which has not yet been revealed.
