Hasselblad is once again in reports to be working on a camera module for Moto Z smartphone that will have 10x Zoom as well as Raw support.
Lenovo launched the Moto Z and Moto Z Force smartphones back in June at Tech World 2016 with modular accessories called Moto Mods which attach to back of the phones magnetically via 16 connection pins. At launch, Lenovo showed the InstaShare projector, a JBL speaker and a 2220 mAh extended battery pack.
In addition to the accesories launched with the smartphones there were rumors of a camera module reportedly built by Hasselblad as a Moto Mod for Moto Z smartphone but that did not become a reality later on.
Unlike the previous Hasselblad MotoMod, the recent report by hellomotoHK reveals much about the features of the camera including a 10x optical zoom lens, Xenon flash, Physical shutter, Automatic backup and Raw support.
Looking at the accessory it seems that the camera module will be packed with its own image sensor but there is no official hint so far, so you just should take it with a pinch of salt. We’ll update you about anything that comes related to it.
