Along side the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has also launched the new Gear VR headset which is supposed to give better experience and it too supports previously released devices.
The new Gear VR is not white anymore and comes in a new blueish-black “hue” body inside-out that aims to prevent light reflection to provide a more cinematic experience.
The new Gear VR comes with two different device holders USB Type-C to support the new Galaxy Note 7 and Micro USB which is compatible with previous Samsung smartphones, including the Galaxy Note7, S7, S7 edge, Note5, S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+.
There is also an external USB port (USB Hub 2.0) that enables connectivity with third-party USB devices, as well as charging during use.
Gear VR offers the ability to connect to a wider array of external sensors, motion controllers, 4D experience tools and OTG USB memory.
The Gear VR now features a home key that takes the users to the official landing page of Oculus on the VR headset.
If look at the changes from the previous model of Gear VR, the new one has a touch-sensitive navigational pad on a side of the headset which can be used to play games as well as navigate through the menus interface of Gear VR.
The revamped Gear VR also will cost $99 (or PKR ~10,000/-), and will go on sale August 19th along side the Galaxy Note 7. As well the pre-orders are starting tomorrow.
