Along with the new Surface Studio desktop PC, Microsoft has also announced the upgraded Surface Book with 16 hour battery life and it only comes with Core i7 processor in three customized packages with the base price of $2,399.
According to Microsoft, new Surface Book is the most powerful laptop machine ever, that features the latest Intel Core i7 processor and completely redesigned thermal cooling with two fans – instead of single one. Never mind, there is an nVidia GeForce GTX 965M with 2GB of GPU memory.
Be noted that Microsoft didn’t change the outfit or visual design of the Surface Book that was released last year. From inside it’s heavily upgraded with a new processor, updated graphics and most importantly the bigger battery – that combination also increases the weight of the new Surface Book which now weighs at 3.63 pounds.
With the magnesium build in silver-only color, new Surface Book will come running Windows 10 Pro.
In addition, the new Surface Book comes in three customized options of memory and storage. Bundles with 8GB RAM and 256GB Storage, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage or 16GB RAM and 1TB storage respectively cost $2,399, $2,799, or $3,299.
With pre-orders starting today, the machines will be available from November 10th.
