Microsoft has included a desktop PC among Surface lineup as the company has announced the new “Surface Studio” PC during its event in New York City today. It starts from $2,999 as a base price and goes up with three models. Pre-orders start now, available from December 15th.
The Surface Studio has the world’s thinnest LCD monitor with the thickness of 12.5mm which is a touchscreen. Measuring 28 inches diagonally the monitor is a pack of aluminium and the display serves with 13.5 million pixels – It’s 53% more pixels than a 4K display carrying about 8.8 million pixels across.
Frankly, this Surface Studio is named perfectly in relevance with its target consumers which are most probably in field of creativity – they are designers, photographers, videographers, animators or CAD experts etc. This PC actually claims to deliver everything they would need which they never could do before on a computer system.

Surface Studio comes packed with NVIDIA GeForce GTX dedicated graphics in 2GB or 4GB GPU memory depending on which model you buy. Powered by 6th gen. Intel Core i5 or i7 Quad-core processor, the new Surface PC or Studio comes in three packages with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of RAM. Storage varies in only 1TB or 2TB Solid State Drive (SSD).
