Starting today with Xperia XZ and X Performance, Sony has started rolling your Andorid 7 Nougat software update to its promised devices.
Software update will be rolled out to devices in phased process so users might want to keep an eye on the updates, check with their local operators or watch for the notification.
In addition to XZ and X Performance, Sony previously has promised to bring Android 7 Nougat software update to Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Compact.
Sony has also released a video of the Android Nougat software demonstrating the user interface and experience with some of its features on Xperia devices. As video shows, new search function on the home screen can be noticed. New SMS features have been added.
A split-screen feature that includes the fast-switcher when the user double-taps the multitask key – supported with new camera user interface. Improved Stamina Mode with doze. Consider this only a quick hint about the update as there will be more minor improvements and upgrades.
