According to a recent benchmark report, Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 835 chipset will pack an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and the upgraded Adreno 540 GPU.
Just last month Qualcomm announced about its flagship chipset Snapdragon 835 built with Samsung’s 10nm process and the chip is already in mass production to reach out devices manufacturers. The company didn’t disclose any further detail about the chip’s specifications or features, however mentioned that it will feature proprietary Quick Charge 4.
GFXbench seems to be hinting about a Qualcomm processor with 8 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and an upgraded GPU Adreno 540. The current Snapdragon 821 features a quad-core processor with Adreno 530. The scores, as tested at the GFXbench, suggest the platform coupled with Android 7 Nougat is outperforming almost any device running Android as well as the iPhone 7 Plus.
Qualcomm has disclosed anyway that the new process will perform 30% faster than its predecessors and will have 40% less power consumption. As well the Quick Charge 4 will give mast faster and reliable charging experience with 0 to 50% charge within 15 minutes or a 5 hours backup for 5 minute charge.
There are also some reports suggesting that Galaxy S8 and Xiaomi Mi 6 may feature the Snapdragon 835 which have not appeared themselves on the benchmark reports either.
