Lenovo Legion is Lenovo’s new sub-brand for PC Gaming

Along with the new ThinkPad X1 family, Lenovo has also launched its new lineup specially design for PC gaming – called Lenovo Legion, for power PC gamers.

At the CES 2017, Lenovo announced the very first two laptops in the new sub-brand, Legion Y720 and Legion Y520 where the Y720 is the expensive model starting at $1,400 (PKR ~146,000), available in April 2017 and the Y520 starts at $900 (PKR ~95,000) hitting select markets in February 2017. Prices are before any taxes or subsidies.

Lenovo states that these new laptops were designed after talking to thousands of gamers and understanding their needs when playing games on the PCs.

Lenovo Legion Y720

Lenovo Legion Y720 packs with the powerful 7th-gen Intel Core i7 or Core i5 processor according to consumer’s demand and budget. This expensive model comes with Windows 10 Home edition pre-installed. The machine is powered by nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB dedicated graphic memory. The laptop comes with the multiple RAM options up to 16GB and the storage options come in both 128/256/512GB SSD or HDD 500GB/1TB/2TB SATA HDD.

15.6 inch IPS display available in two resolution options as FHD 1920x1080p or UHD 3840×2160. The laptop weighs around 3.2kg and features 2 watt stereo JBL speakers with 3 watt Dolby Atmos subwoofer.

This package comes with a variety of ports including 1x Thunderbolt (via USB Type-C), 3x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI, and a DisplayPort. Audio and Microphone Jacks are also there along with RJ45 LAN.

Lenovo Legion Y520

Lenovo Legion Y520 packs with the 7th-gen Intel Core i7 and comes with Windows 10 Home edition pre-installed. The machine is powered by nVidia GeForce GTX 1050 dedicated graphics. The laptop comes with the several RAM options up to 16GB and like expensive model the storage options in Y520 are 128/256/512GB SSD or HDD 500GB/1TB/2TB SATA HDD.

15.6 inch IPS display available in only resolution FHD 1920x1080p. The laptop weighs around 2.4kg and features 2 watt stereo Harman certified speakers with Dolby Audio Premium. Battery capacity is 45WHr.

1 Gigabit Ethernet port comes with several other ports including 1x USB 3.1 (Type-C), 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI, Audio Jack, Microphone jack, RJ45 LAN, 4-in-1 Card Reader (supports SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC)
