Following the recent events in United States involving new executive order of banning seven Muslim countries, Viber has announced free calls to those countries offering one less barrier to cross.
After newly elect president Trump of United States, previously power-gained narrative of banning Muslims from entering US finally was imposed past Saturday which involved seven Muslim countries including Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
The executive order also raised voice globally against it and even tech leaders also came in front to protect their employees who were affected as well as denying the recently imposed order.
In a recent statement issued by Viber – one of the famous messaging and calling service provider, the company offered free VoIP calls to involved countries in an attempt to help those who are affected already working in the United States.
“In light of recent events in the United States, we are now offering free calls to any landline or mobile number between the United States and Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen so that those affected will now have one less barrier to cross when trying to reach their loved ones.”
