OPPO F3 with Dual Front Camera Launched in Pakistan – Available from May 13, Pre-orders start today

OPPO held an event in Lahore to launch its dual-camera smartphone OPPO F3 in Pakistan. The event was full of celebrities and models along with the officials from OPPO Pakistan.

OPPO F3 targets selfie lovers with the dual-camera on its front. The phone is priced at Rs 34,899 for the mid-range market. Tagged with the title “Selfie Expert”, the OPPO F3 is the second in line with dual selfie camera for Group Selfie after the recently launched F3 Plus.

The F3 sales, in Pakistan will begin from May 13th, however pre-orders starts today May 5th, till 12th May 2017. The brand will also have a lucky draw through the pre-order entries, and Eight lucky winners will get a chance to see the final of the ICC Champions trophy live in London.

Dual Front Camera

The OPPO F3 features a dual selfie camera – a 16-megapixel Selfie camera for individual selfies and an 8-megapixel camera with wide-angle lens for group selfies on the front.

“One for Selfie, One for Group selfie” The Double View Group Selfie Camera gives a larger field-of-view, twice larger view than a normal selfie camera. The 6P lens is claimed to provide better image quality with minimal image distortion.

For your individual selfies, the camera interface provides option switch to the other front camera which utilizes 16 MP resolution. This camera has a 1/3 inch sensor format and a large f/2.0 lens aperture. The camera is supposed to give high dynamic range, vivid colors and reduced noise.

With improvements from previous models, OPPO claims that the F3 will manage to control exposures well in a strongly-lit background conditions. “When shooting in a poorly-lit place or at night, the noise granularity is also significantly reduced to make the selfie more vivid and clearer.”

“With the built-in Smart Facial Recognition, the F3 will notify users to switch to ‘Group Selfie’ mode if there are more than three people in the frame. Users can snap their Group Selfie at ease, without compromising image stability when taking selfie with one hand. ”

13 MP Rear Camera

On the back, OPPO F3 hosts a 13 megapixels camera which also has a 1/3 inch sensor format inside. OPPO claims that it is able to maximize light sensitivity, making for wonderful nighttime performance. The sensor is built with PDAF technology that makes the shooting experience speedy and fluid. It’s claimed to focus moving subjects pretty much fast.

OPPO’s beautification editing software, Beautify 4.0 is available for both – two selfie front cameras and the rear camera. It will allow users to choose from various beautification modes, ensuring images are captured with favorable effects. There are several other fun features to make your Selfie taking experience enhanced like Palm shutter allows you to take shake free photos by activating an automatic selfie countdown when you wave your hand in front of the camera.

Other Features

OPPO F3 has a metal rear panel with the plastic top/bottom panels on the back. The phone has a 5.5 inch FHD in-cell display and weighs 153 grams.

OPPO F3 is equipped with a MediaTek MT6750T Octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the propriety ColorOS 3.0 on top. The embedded triple-slot card tray allows two nano-SIM cards and a microSD card to work simultaneously. So you don’t need to sacrifice a SIM place for a microSD card.

The F3 supports a fingerprint reader for security purposes like many other smartphones now do. “Equipped with a hydrophobic membrane the fingerprint reader has an enhanced success rate even when a user’s fingers are moist.”  The phone is backed by 3200mAh battery which according to company’s rating lasts for more than 15 hours.

Pricing and Availability

OPPO F3 is priced at Rs 34,899/- in Pakistan and will be available from May 13th. Pre-orders have started today and will last till 12th May 2017.
