Xiaomi Mi Note 3 official with dual-camera, 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 660

Along with the Mi Mix 2, Xiaomi also announced the less expensive Mi Note 3 debuting with dual-camera configuration.

With 5.5-inch display and FullHD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, the Mi Note 3 is powered by Snapdragon 660 – Qualcomm’s mid-range chipset. The chip features proprietary Kryo eight cores – 4 clocked at 2.2GHz and other 4 clocked at 1.8GHz. The phone still boasts 6GB of RAM and when available, you will have option to choose from 64GB or 128GB storage variants.

Mi Note 3 comes packed with 12-megapixel dual-camera configuration – one with wide-angle lens and another with telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom. Wide angle camera also has a 4-axis OIS. The prominent feature of the primary camera is the portrait mode which takes the photos with bokeh effect (background blur).

The phone also has a 16-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies. It features Adaptable AI Beautify that can smooth the skin as normally a feature does in most smartphone cameras. But it can also change the shape of your face.

Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has a glass back with a mirror-like effect and aluminum frame around it. The phone has its similarities to the Mi 6. It features a 3500mAh battery just like the Mi Mix 2 and also has support for Quick Charge 3.0.

In addition the phone has an IR blaster and NFC connectivity too. A fingerprint scanner is embedded into home button below the screen. It also features USB Type-C

Even though the Mi Note 3 has smaller screen, it’s not compact as Mi Mix 2 for its size and weight. But the company wants you to know that it’s more compact than the current Apple flagship – iPhone 7 Plus.

Mi Note 3 will be available in black and blue colors. The blue version is only available with 128 GB storage option. There is no information about the release date yet. Prices are as below:
