Ookla, which is an independent global provider of internet analysis services including its famous SpeedTest service, has released its first half-2018 report listing fastest internet providers globally. Jazz, which is Pakistan’s largest mobile network takes the top spot in the report.
With in-depth analysis and reporting brokedown to country level, Ookla dubs it as “Speedtest Awards”. That’s the Speedtest award from Ookla which goes to Jazz. Like they do for all the countries, Ookla tested from a large sample of genuine mobile users in Pakistan finding Jazz to be significantly ahead of its competitor telecom networks.
Ookla’s report is based on an analysis of over 700,000 user-initiated tests carried out nationwide in Q1 and Q2 of 2018. The findings recorded from mobile tests with the Speedtest app during the first half of 2018 resulted in Jazz achieving a Speed Score of 17.03. Zong took the second spot with the Speed Score of 15.35 while Telenor and Ufone stands below with Speed Score of 7.98 and 4.62 respectively.
Jazz lives up to subscribers’ demands with an ambition to roll-out the latest services and products, and a fast, reliable data network spanning the length and breadth of the country are reasons why the mobile operator is the network of choice for over 55 million subscribers and has the highest number of mobile internet users at over 20 million customers.
