Nokia Launch Event Dubai – Live Stream, Start Time, Here is what to expect

HMD Global is all set to announce new Nokia phones on December 5th during an exclusive launch event in Dubai. The company is, reportedly, going to launch its new phones in global markets.

Most speculated one is the Nokia 8.1 which will be global variant of the China specific Nokia X7. HMD is supposed to launch more than one phone, so you should expect at least another phone. It might be the one speculated as Nokia 9 with the Penta-lens camera.

With respect to the scheduled time, the launch event will kick off at 7:00 PM GST Local Dubai Time. That is 8PM Islamabad/Karachi, 3PM London, or 10AM New York – check your own local time. HMD Global will be broadcasting the launch event from Dubai via a live-stream which you can watch right here.

Nokia 8.1 (or Nokia Phoenix)

The global variant of Nokia X7, features a 6.2-inch display with FHD+ resolution of 2246×1080 pixels. Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 chip, the X7 is available with 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB internal storage in China. You can expect both variants with global Nokia 8.1. Backed by 3400 mAh battery, the phone comes in three colors – red, silver and blue.

On the camera side, if it’s exact Nokia X7, then the global Nokia 8.1 will feature a 12MP+13MP dual-camera as the main shooter on the back and a 20MP selfie camera on the front. It’s worth noting here that Nokia X7’s dual-cam features significant improvements over the Nokia 7 Plus camera.

Nokia 9 feature details

Another speculated phone is the flagship Nokia 9 which has been widely rumored to feature penta-lens camera setup. The phone is supposed to feature a 5.9-inch display with QHD resolution and OLED display with 3D glass.

The Nokia 9 will be powered by Snapdragon 845 and also may have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
