After Huawei and Samsung in their respective Honor, Nova and Galaxy smartphones, HMD Global has joined in the punch-hole display league with its latest Nokia X71 smartphone.
Along with the launch of Nokia 9 PureView in Taiwan, HMD Global also introduced the new Nokia X71 with 48-megapixel in the mid-range segment of smartphones.
Nokia X71 packs with Snapdragon 660 processor and runs Android 9 Pie operating system. The phone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with an option to expand via microSD card. 3500mAh battery and a headphone jack are also the part of it.
On the back the phone carries a triple-camera setup with Zeiss optics. The camera array includes 48-megapixel main camera, an 8MP wide-angle, and a 5MP depth sensor. The 48MP image sensors from Sony and Samsung are now seemed to be more common than anytime before.
The front-facing camera pokes through the display’s corner via a punch-hole. It’s a 16MP camera with f/2.0 lens aperture. The display itself measures 6.39-inch with full HD+ resolution on 19.3:9 aspect ratio.
Pricing wise, the Nokia X71 costs TWD 11,900 which is around $385 or €345 (PKR ~55,000). It will be available fro April 30th in Taiwan. GSM Arena also notes that the phone may be launched globally as Nokia 8.1 Plus.
