Realme 3 will feature Helio P60 chipset in Pakistan for competitive pricing

Realme has recently announced the launch date of its upcoming Realme 3 smartphone in Pakistan market – that’s April 15th. But there was key factor that the phone will feature the Helio P60 chipset instead of the P70 that was recently launched in India.

According to a source, we could understand the reason behind this move by Realme Pakistan. It’s suggested that the company wanted to keep the price of the device competitive in the market. But it also didn’t want to compromise on the end-user performance of the smartphone.

Though the two chipsets aren’t that much different in overall performance as we have experienced some phones with both chips, this would definitely impact the price factor. However it’s also sourced that Realme will be the first brand to bring a Helio P60 powered phone at the lowest price point.

MediaTek launched the Helio P70 as a successor to P60 later last year. However the newer chip was only a slight better than P60. The P70 is mostly identical to the P60, packing the same CPU architecture, same GPU and APU. But the clock speeds were slightly increased.

According to MediaTek’s claims, the P70 is 13% better in performance and boasts 30% better AI. Sure the P70 is a slight better than the predecessor but in our recent experience, they were mostly identical in real life scenarios – apart from gaming.

The Snapdragon 660, on the other hand, is a parallel performer in real-life use with P60 as we discovered with Vivo V11 and V11 Pro last year. Though Snapdragon 660 had an edge in gaming that P70 could match.

But it’s also suggested the Realme 3’s Hyper Boost with software’s Game Space can give as better gaming experience as Helio P70 or even Snapdragon 660.

If the price of the phone is as affordable as it’s suggested, we believe the handset will do much better with Helio P60. Because we have not seen a great improvement from P60, in P70 powered phones.
